Hyper-V: Release Candidate 1

Uvedení Hyper-V na trh se rychle blíží (ještě, že tak!) a tak si můžete stáhnout jednu z posledních testovacích verzí, tentokrát Release Candidate 1. Kromě oprav nalezených chyb a navýšení výkonu přináší verze RC1 plnou podporu Windows 2000 Server SP4 a Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4. Integrační komponenty pro Novell Suse 10 Linux naleznete na stránkách Connectu.

Hm, tak jsem to dneska upgradoval a i když mám podle MS certifikované železo pro Hyper-V (http://windowsservercatalog.com/item.aspx?idItem=b3e3dc11-1a03-8f0e-604e-c879e9344795) tak mi po restartu serveru napsal do logu toto:

Hyper-V launch failed; Processor 0x4 does not provide the features necessary to run Hyper-V (leaf 0x80000008, register 0x0: features needed 0x24, features supported 0x26).

Jeste jedna poznamka - nemusi to byt jen CPU, mate zapnut v BIOSu Date Execution Protection?

Muze nekdo vysvetlit, co znamena "přináší verze RC1 plnou podporu Windows 2000 Server SP4 a Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4"? Windows 2000 nepodporuji Integration components, tak jaka zmena proti RC0? Ve Windows 2000 Server SP4 se mi napr. nepovedlo nainstalovat ovladace pro grafickou kartu ...

VLCI> Zajimave, nikde jsem tento bug nevidel a ani o nem neslysel. Takze RC0 je v pořádku a RC1 není? Zajímavé, ale naprosto netuším, co vám poradit.

Po pravdě jsem to nezkoušel, protože tu nemám žádné W2000 :(

MARTIN PAVLIS> Asi takhle ... instalace Integration Services do Vista SP1 není jednoduchá záležitost. Do WINXP SP3 je to naprostá tragedie. Proč MS tvrdí, že je nutné mít XP SP3, nebo Vista SP1 když to není pravda? Nebo je to jen kvůli tomu, že Hyper-V je zatím "jen" RC1? (i když si myslím, že v této fázi by se měla ladit už jen dokumentace). Neměl jsem v pátek bohužel čas řešit proč to nejde, prostě jsem se vrátil k RC0.

Dobry den,
vi nekdo , jak dointalovat do win 2000 server pod Hyper-V RC1 Sitovou kartu ?????

Integration komponents nejdou doinstalovat ....

Integration components jdou nainstalovat az od verze RC1.
A jinak i tak si myslím (ale to si ted nejsem jist), ze sitova karta musi byt Legacy a nikoli syntetic driver.

Bohuzel, ale ja ten update RC1 mam nainstalovany , ale stale to hlasi Hlasi ze podporuje nejnize winxp32.

Pokud dam instalaci driveru manualne , tj aby si nasel driver na tom pripojenem image , tak po restartu uz w2000srv nenabehnou.

Please note that support for Windows 2000 is emulated only meaning that performance will be roughly equivalent to Virtual Server. For most customers, this likely won’t be an issue because, if they’re running Windows 2000, they’re likely using pretty old hardware Pentium II/III class systems, but I want to be very upfront about this fact now. In addition, there are further implications to running without ICs (no time sync, no heartbeat, etc).

Takže tím je to jasné!
